The strategic goal was to shift from retrospective, manual sampling to Continuous Control Validation. Instead of searching for anomalies weeks after a financial period closes, the architecture acts as an active digital firewall.

Every transaction piece of data flowing through the infrastructure is intercepted, evaluated against dynamic compliance logic, and either cleared or flagged for immediate executive review.

Execution & Tech Stack

The solution was an automated, multi-tier auditing pipeline built directly into the operational flow:

  • Data Aggregation (ETL): Custom Python pipelines continuously pull raw transactional data across disparate APIs and internal databases, standardizing chaotic data structures into a clean, unified SQL environment.

  • Algorithmic Validation: Rather than relying on static rules, the core engine cross-references transaction metadata against historical baselines, looking for variance anomalies, duplicate entries, and compliance gaps.

  • Automated Escalation (Make.com): When an anomaly is detected, the system does not just log an error. It automatically compiles an incident payload and routes it to the designated risk officer via secure internal channels.

By deploying this automated framework, we completely transformed the risk profile of the operation:

  • 100% Transaction Coverage: Shifted from a 5% manual sampling rate to total, automated oversight of every data point.
